Please consider this your official commitment to volunteer as a Host Family. Please read this statement carefully: I (and my partner) agree to volunteer to host a harpist in our home during the 2025 13th USA International Harp Competition (USAIHC). I (we) recognize this is our personal responsibility and agree not to hold the USAIHC responsible for actions of others or events outside their purview. I (we) will provide a comfortable, safe, private bedroom. I (we) will be a friend and supporter, and do what I (we) can to help the harpist have a successful experience. I (we) may offer to provide transportation to the harpist, but we know we are not required to do so. I (we) may provide food for the harpist in addition to accommodation, but we know we are not obligated to do so. I (we) understand that we are encouraged to attend the performances of the harpist we host, the special recitals and concerts during the two weeks as well as the final stage on July 9th which will determine the Gold Medal winner. ***If you cannot agree to this Acknowledgement and Commitment, please close this browser window to cancel this form and exit. *

We hope you can host for the entire competition, but we recognize that is not always possible, so please check ALL of the dates you WILL be able to provide accommodation. We will do our best to match up host families and harpists over the two weeks of the competition. Occasionally, some harpists may wish to come before the start of the competition (PRE) or stay after (POST). Please be sure to check each date you can host. *
