14th competition dates announced
The 14th USA International Harp Competition will take place June 7-17, 2028, at the Jacobs School of Music. The competition is open to harpists of any nationality ages 18-32 as of June 7, 2028.
The USA International Harp Competition is among the most prestigious harp competitions in the world. Founded in 1989 by Susann McDonald, the competition takes place every three years in Bloomington, Indiana.
Beyond the solo harp competition, our other key programs enrich
the local and international community.
The USA International Harp Competition advances the harp on the world stage by setting the highest standards of excellence, inspiring the next generation of artists, and strengthening the global community that connects musicians and audiences through the harp.
